Ya’ll. When I tell you that July FLEW by? There have been SO many things happening and honestly, I’m just now getting caught up.
As you know… (Do you?) If you follow me on social media then you know that I have been on a raw food fast. Abba Father, has been blowing my mind with reminders of his promises, faithfulness and goodness the entire time. I’ve witnessed so many amazing miracles this month, and I KNOW that our miracle babies are on the way. Which leads me to this topic of this blog. “No Longer TTC.”
Now, before you rush to encourage me not to give up… I haven’t! I haven’t and I won’t give up because I know I will hold my baby in my arms. In actuality, I feel that I have MORE faith now that we aren’t “trying to conceive!”
Wait, Raven.. You aren’t making any sense.
Ok, let me explain. So, while I’ve been on this fast, I’ve been very mindful (even more than normal) of what I speak over myself. I don’t say “I have PCOS/endometrosis/infertility.” I say, “The doctor said or I was diagnosed with PCOS/endometrosis/infertility.” Reason being? Because me speaking that over myself + taking ownership of those illnesses goes against something that DOES NOT LIE. The Word. The Bible says:
Isaiah 53:5- But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. [It doesn’t say that we MAY be healed, nor does it say we WILL BE healed (future.) It says that we ARE healed. So, me saying that I have these things is contradicting the Word. I don’t take ownership of any illness anymore. I realize what the doctors have said and what I need to do to work on things. However, my FAITH says I am healed. I am working in action behind my faith.]
Mark 5:34 – And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.” [Again, faith = healing]
Psalms 113:9 – “He gives the childless woman a family, making her a happy mother. Praise the LORD!” [A reminder that my baby is coming. Not infertility!]
Genesis 9:7 – “And you, be fruitful and multiply, increase greatly on the earth and multiply in it.” [A reminder that it IS God’s Will for us to have children… because, well because he said to do it!]
Genesis 25:21 – “Isaac pleaded with the LORD on behalf of his wife, because she was unable to have children. The LORD answered Isaac’s prayer, and Rebekah became pregnant with twins.” [A reminder that God answers prayer!]
Luke 1:13-14- “But the angel said to him, Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth.” [And again. And that God will be glorified in our miracle pregnancy.]
John 14:13-14- “Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me[a] anything in my name, I will do it.” [A reminder that God hears when we are praying for and asking for things in Jesus’ name: like healing, a child, a healthy pregnancy, a family, provision for IVF, provision for adoption, etc & that He will do it]
1 John 5:14 “And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.” [A reminder that we should pray BOLDLY and be assured that God hears our prayers. Know that they are not falling on deaf ears, but that he hears our cry. We can rest in that.]
1 Samuel 1:27- “I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him.” [ A reminder to have Hannah like faith.]
So, as you can see… God has given me plenty to speak over myself, my womb and my family. Reports of sickness and illness do not fit into that. Which is why the phrase “trying to conceive” doesn’t fit us either. You see, the definition of “try” is “make an attempt or effort to do something.” Seeeeeee, the problem with that is we aren’t just “making an attempt” to conceive. No, we put ALL (every ounce) of faith in our BODIES in GOD and we KNOW that we have asked (confidently) for something that is pure and in his Will and WE BELIEVE that we ARE GOING to conceive. People “try” a lot of things. People “try’ to lose weight and never succeed. People “try” to change bad habits and never succeed. I’ve alway been taught that you can “try” something, but real results come when you start DOING. There is a difference in “trying to lose weight” and “losing weight.” The person that is actually losing weight is doing whatever it takes. The person that is trying… well… they are trying. This is why I can’t continue to say that we are “trying to conceive.” I have to know that we are “going to conceive.” We are “about to conceive.”
Our journey to conceiving these miracle babies. Our journey to parenthood. I’m not trying to conceive. I will conceive and the miracle will manifest in Jesus’ name. Abba has really been dealing with increasing my faith during this storm. I really feel like this is the place that I needed to get too. Where I can truly say, “no. I am standing on your Word and Promises alone, God.”
And thus, our “trying” days are over. & our journey to parenthood has already begun. We are believing God to blow our minds with a miraculous miracle this month/next month. He already has it planned, perfectly! He’s still good and faithful, even in the waiting!
