I wanted to share a little of my story here, so that you understand how I got here! I haven’t always been this “Raye.” I did not grow up with the “perfect” childhood, and many tough events led me far away from Christ. I battled through many years feeling neglected, outcasted, broken and confused. I searched for Agape love in people, when I should have clung to our gracious Father. One night, after being in a relationship with a female for years, using alcohol to mask the pain in my heart, and battling suicidal thoughts- God met me on the floor in my dorm room. No church service, no pastor, no beautiful worship team singing in the background. Just me & Abba. He rescued me from sin. He saved me, eternally. From that day forward, I promised that I would always use my life to spread the Gospel! Have I been perfect? No, I’ll be the first to say that I make many mistakes, but I am so blessed because of the blood! [John 3:16, Ephesians 2:3, 8-9, John 14:6, Revelations 12:11, Matthew 28:19]
I am originally from a super small town in south GA. (Thus the ya’ll that slips through quite often!) I am a small town girl at heart, but in 2015, God laid it on my husband’s heart to move us to Atlanta. After us only being married for a little over a year! (I married my king + best friend at the age of 20!) No-one, not even us (lol!) understood why we would leave all of our family and friends, but God had a plan bigger than what we could understand! Soon after moving to Atlanta, (and after “TTC” for a year) we were hit in the face with a diagnosis of infertility. This painful trial has been the very thing that pushed me into a deeper relationship with Abba + my “ministry.” I’m seriously blessed to have this wonderful man in my life. If it wasn’t for his willingness to follow God, I wouldn’t be here- doing this!
It has been in Atlanta that God has revealed to me my true purpose. I worked as a Registered Nurse for three years prior to becoming an entrepreneur, blogger-content creator & nutrition/fertility coach. I’ve always known that I wanted to help people (especially women) but I never could put my finger on “how!” I thought it was nursing, and I’d planned to become a women’s health NP… but as I worked as a RN, Abba began to show me that my true passion was preventive care & holistic healing. As He took me on my own personal journey of becoming “The Plant-Based Wife,” after spending time in prayer + fasting for healing from PCOS and endometriosis.
God has proved to me that food, lifestyle changes and most importantly prayer can indeed bring forth miraculous healing; I found my calling through ONE act of obedience in following God’s instruction to change my diet.
Since 2015, the passion to teach other about plant-based living and holistic healing has continued to burn inside of me! Now, I spend my days sharing encouragement on this blog to “the waiting warriors” Ladies (and couples) that are battling one of the hardest fights- the fight to have faith OVER a diagnosis of PCOS, endometriosis, blocked fallopian tubes, poor egg quality, low sperm counts, recurrent miscarriage, and anything else infertility related.
Join me right here weekly for encouragement that is truly written as the Holy Spirit inspires, testimonies of God’s goodness + healing power, and Wednesday night worship that declares WAR against the enemy and his attack on our wombs + families. I believe in standing on God’s promises for us, and knowing that healing is available though it may look different for each one of us. I love you with my WHOLE heart, and I pray this blog is a place that you find encouragement and hope in Christ, our cornerstone.
